Emerald Software and CSI Connectivity Systems International are on-site for you!
Use your chance and meet
us personally and discuss e.g. with John Rankin, Founder and CEO of CSI his vision for the Mainframe. (published in IBM Systems TechVision Mag. 2007).
Look out for Emerald Software and CSI Connectivity Systems International (Software TCP/IP for VSE) in the exhibition area.
October 2008: Training course recommendation for TCP/IP for VSE
At
regular intervals, the company Lattwein GmbH provides training around TCP/IP
for VSE.
Today we would like to bring the system programmers workshop "Inside TCP/IP for VSE" provided by Lattwein GmbH to your attention. As this course is held in german please go to our german webpage for more information - click here. Thank you.
May 2008: New website design
How do you like the new Emerald web pages?
Not only changes in the optics but also in the structure and especially in the content you can see those positive changes. E.g. have a look at our solution portfolio:

We are looking forward to your feedback.
May 2008: Emerald & e3 AG: new partnership for cross-platform and quality assured test automation
IT landscapes in companies are subject to constant changes that are characterised
by consolidations, renewals and outsourcing efforts.
Regular tests are indispensable to ensure the functionality of IT services at the necessary performance and quality level despite these constant change processes. Traditional testing with a high amount of manual work, however, is no longer able to cope with today's predominant basic conditions. A consistent automation of the entire test cycle is decisive for achieving the set efficiency
and quality goals. What may take days using manually performed and documented tests can normally be reduced to a few minutes by automated testing

February 2008: CICS goes Web
You have invested years (many) and money (much) in your CICS programs and do not want to replace or re-write them in short-term. But everyone wants ot use the latest PC tools or claims web-based access. ViaSQL lets you extend the life cycle of your programs and uses them as key elements in re-designed and distributed architectures.
Examples:
Several million lines of code are contained in your CICS transactions. Business rules and data processing rules are embedded in these programs. New Visual Basic applications have been written in response to recent business requirements.
With the ViaSQL architecture, existing CICS application logic can be reused by both
Web-based and LAN-based clients and servers. When the XML option is enabled,
result data is returned in XML format for easy integration into EAI, B2B, and
Web applications. Existing CICS or batch application logic can be extended to
retrieve and update data in LAN systems. By extending the scope and
functionality of the z-series environment, ViaSQL leverages existing systems
and extends the life of existing data and applications. ViaSQL increases return
on your z/OS information systems investment (ROI).
ViaSQL
enables access to z/VSE and z/OS data and programs from any ODBC, Open Client,
DB-Library, or SOAP application, or any JDBC application, applet, or servlet. ViaSQL
supplies dynamic SQL access to DB2 for z/OS (DB2), CA-Datacom, VSAM, IMS, and
sequential data, and programmatic access to all z/OS data, including IDMS,
Adabas, and others. ViaSQL also enables z/OS CICS or batch access to LAN
databases, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, Informix, DB2/UDB, or any
database accessible via ODBC or JDBC.
